Scott shoots with Canon camera bodies and lenses. For film he uses the Canon EOS 1v body, and for digital a Canon EOS-30D. Favorite Lenses are the Canon 100-400 mm image stabilizer lens, and the EF 50mm compact macro.

A Few Tips:

Today’s modern cameras are virtually foolproof in getting the perfect shot if one sticks to the basics.

Even when shooting digital, I still take the time to stalk out a great shot.

What I look for are unique patterns in nature that are abstract or impressionistic. When I find these patterns I take a great deal of time in composing the elements I see within the confines of that limited space in the viewfinder.

Look for these patterns, you’ll often find them next to the obvious shots that everyone else takes.
